Lifestyle Bakery is experiencing rapid growth across multiple market segments, and we are looking for someone to assist the QA Manager with daily tasks. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a successful and dynamic team that is taking gluten free baking to a new level. Lifestyle Bakery is a privately owned national business operating from one site in Pooraka, South Australia.

About the Role:

This is a Full-Time role, Monday to Friday, primarily on afternoon shift. It is an excellent opportunity to give the right individual the chance to demonstrate their ability as we expand our business. It is important you are well organised and efficient as there are multiple tasks to be completed each day. Just as important, you will enjoy working in a relaxed, easy-going, but hardworking team environment.

Some of the Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine product quality and packaging verification checks.
• Assist in ensuring the correct quality assurance procedures are completed by the production teams, in particular checking packaging integrity, best before dates and documentation.
• participate in routine equipment temperature monitoring checks.
• assist with review and filing of quality assurance documentation.
• Assist the Afternoon Production Manager to implement GMP at the facility by conducting routine GMP inspections.
• Perform allergen tests (Gluten tests) and organoleptic testing on products.
• Assist the Supply Chain team to ensure quality inspection is complete on raw materials and products align with CoA’s.
• Assist with internal audits and corrective actions.
• Assist with production staff training in quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Participate in the ongoing maintenance of the company’s’ HACCP system.
• may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

Skills Required:

• high level of attention to detail and accuracy required.

• demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a work environment that has high work volumes at times.

  Required Qualifications:

• A certificate 3 or higher in Food Science or similar would be an advantage.
