Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Clinical Specialist
Exciting role based across Inner West metro Melbourne/Naarm Parkville, Flemington and Moonee Ponds sites
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Identified roleJoin the growing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce at RMHAccess to cultural support including RMH Elder in Residence and Aboriginal workforce networks
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Service (RMH MHS) is committed to Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB), trauma-informed, recovery-focussed mental health service delivery. This role works across the service to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers receive culturally safe, responsive and accessible care.
This position provides advanced clinical expertise, cultural leadership and system-level influence, supporting workforce capability, improving service access and strengthening partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
Your New Role
Deliver specialist SEWB-informed assessment, formulation and intervention for consumers with complex needsProvide secondary consultation and clinical advice to multidisciplinary teamsProvide culturally safe welcoming, engagement and care planningDeliver cultural consultation, workforce training and reflective practiceStrengthen pathways and partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled OrganisationsSupport development of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce
About You
You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait IslanderYou have extensive experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communitiesAdvanced clinical skills in mental health assessment, formulation and interventionUnderstanding of Social and Emotional Wellbeing and culturally safe careExperience in clinical leadership, consultation and workforce development
