SEO Specialist (Long Term Contract Role)

Are you an SEO specialist looking to take on some SEO contract work? Because we happen to be looking for an SEO specialist to take on some SEO contract work.

We're a small, independent agency in Melbourne that provides a large amount of white-label services. We're reaching capacity and looking to expand our capabilities.

You'll be responsible for taking over management of between 10 and 15 established SEO campaigns, driving organic growth across lead generation and eCommerce sites. Shopify and WordPress are the two most common platforms on which we work.

We estimate approximately 30-40 hours per month, though that's open to negotiation for the right candidate. As we win new clients, your retainer will grow to match the extra workload.

Responsibilities include:

• auditing

• technical implementation

• site optimisation

• overall strategy

• content strategy

• briefing content writers

• link acquisition and outreach

• reporting (for some clients)

• improving AI visibility

This role is entirely WFH with reasonably flexible hours. Rates and retainers are negotiable based on availability and experience, and the contract is non-exclusive, so you're free to keep working with other clients.

Contractors must be located in Australia; applicants based overseas will not be considered.

Minimum requirements:

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple SEO campaigns concurrently

• Hands-on technical SEO across both Shopify and WordPress

• Experience across both lead generation and eCommerce SEO

• Comfortable owning content strategy and briefing writers

• Practical link acquisition and outreach experience

• Working knowledge of GA4, Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Merchant Centre, etc.

• Based in Australia with a valid ABN

• Able to work autonomously with minimal day-to-day oversight

• Available for the estimated hours per month on a consistent, ongoing basis
