Mackillop House, a Residential Aged Care home, is seeking a reliable and caring Catering Assistant to join our friendly hospitality team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll support daily food services and help create a positive dining experience for our residents.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assisting with meal preparation, plating, and serviceMaintaining kitchen, servery, and dining area cleanlinessFollowing food safety, hygiene, and infection control standardsSupporting residents with warm, respectful meal serviceWorking collaboratively with chefs and care teams

To be successful in this role you’ll need

A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderlyStrong communication skills and a positive attitudeCertificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essentialGood understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygieneWarm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of peopleAble to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
