Boilermaker / First Class Welder

Piletech Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / First Class Welder to join our workshop team.

This is a predominantly workshop-based role, with the primary focus on the fabrication and manufacture of steel piling products and associated equipment for civil, piling and infrastructure projects.

Your duties will include:

• Fabrication and welding of steel piles and piling components

• Cutting, fitting, assembling and welding structural steel

• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings

• Preparing materials for fabrication and welding

• MIG welding and general boilermaking duties

• Manufacturing and modifying piling tools and equipment

• Ensuring finished products meet required specifications and quality standards

• Safe use of workshop machinery, tools and lifting equipment

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

• Assisting with loading and preparation of fabricated products for delivery to site

• Following all workplace health and safety procedures and company requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified Boilermaker or experienced First Class Welder

• Has strong fabrication and welding skills

• Has experience working with heavy structural steel

• Can confidently read and interpret workshop/fabrication drawings

• Produces consistently high-quality welds

• Has a strong understanding of and commitment to WHS/OHS standards and safe work practices

• Can work independently while also contributing to a workshop team

• Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their workmanship

• Has good attention to detail

• Holds a current Australian driver's licence

Experience in pile manufacture, heavy fabrication, civil construction or structural steel fabrication will be highly regarded.

Forklift, dogging, rigging or crane tickets would also be advantageous.
