About the role

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Roof Tiler to join our team in a full-time, permanent position. The successful applicant will work on residential roofing projects throughout metropolitan Melbourne, supported by an experienced team and appropriate tools and equipment.

• Full-time, permanent employment

• Base salary of $80,000–$85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience

• Superannuation paid in addition to the base salary

• Work across metropolitan Melbourne

• Consistent pipeline of residential roof repair and restoration work

• Supportive, established and safety-focused team

• Company vehicle, fuel card and work equipment may be provided, depending on experience and operational requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair and restore tiled roofing systems

• Inspect roofs and identify damaged tiles, leaks and other roofing defects

• Remove and replace broken, damaged or deteriorated roof tiles

• Carry out roof re-bedding and re-pointing

• Repair roof leaks and complete associated restoration work

• Measure and calculate the materials required for each project

• Ensure all roofing work is completed accurately and to a high standard

• Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe-work procedures

• Maintain clean, organised and safe worksites

• Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects on schedule

• Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and other trades

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must have:

• A Certificate III in Roof Tiling or an equivalent relevant trade qualification

• At least two years of relevant roof-tiling experience

• Demonstrated experience in tiled-roof installation, repairs and restoration

• Experience with roof re-bedding, re-pointing and tile replacement

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• The physical ability and competency to work safely at heights

• A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)

• A current driver’s licence

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Availability to work at sites across metropolitan Melbourne

• A strong commitment to workplace safety and customer service
