Clinical Manager Headspace

We are seeking a Clinical Manager to join our headspace team on a Full Time, Fixed Term basis across our three Centres in Lismore, Ballina & Tweed Heads to help make a positive social change, together.

Joining us, you’ll guide a team of dedicated leaders and professionals who are focused on supporting Young People and their communities.  Working across our three headspace centres the day-to-day of your role will be meaningful and purposeful, from undertaking supervision to supporting the implementation of projects alongside other members of the headspace team.

What you'll be doing

• Provide clinical guidance to the clinical leadership team and the multidisciplinary teams and in the headspace programs to ensure a high standard of service delivery in youth mental health. 
• Lead and monitor the establishment, ongoing delivery and continuous improvement of evidence-based care to program participants utilising a stepped model of care. 
• Provide expertise within the team in strength-based supervision, therapeutic interventions, best practice case management, clinical frameworks, and the management of risk to vulnerable people. 
• Implement governance and compliance systems, documents and processes to ensure the effective management of quality, risk, WH&S and legislative compliance and to meet accreditation standards.  

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualifications and registration with AHPRA or AASW in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Mental Health Nursing.  
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team in the social and human services sector. 
• Experience in the child protection arena including a sound understanding of current trends, legislation, and child protection practice.  
• Experience and knowledge of working with people presenting with mental health and/or other complexities.  
• Demonstrated knowledge of trends and models of service delivery for community, family, housing, employment and/or youth programs 
• Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with government/funders, service providers, staff, peers and key stakeholders in the local community. 
• Experience in implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes across customer service programs, including managing risk and program evaluation.
