About the Role

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Estimating Team Leader to lead our estimating department and support the delivery of high-quality outcomes for our clients and stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to take the next step in their career, or an established leader seeking a new challenge within a supportive and growing organisation.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the estimating team, driving efficiency and accuracy across the estimating process, and ensuring the department delivers timely outcomes.

In addition to managing the local estimating function, you will also provide leadership, support and oversight to two offshore estimators, ensuring workflows, quality standards and deadlines are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the estimating team.

• Manage workloads and allocate tasks to ensure deadlines are achieved.

• Provide guidance and support to two offshore estimators.

• Review estimates for accuracy, completeness and consistency.

• Report on margins as required

• Assisting in the maintenance of BOQs with other relevant stakeholders

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, drafting, building administration and construction teams.

• Monitor department performance and contribute to business improvement initiatives.

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of team members.

• Ensure company standards, procedures and timelines are maintained.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Previous experience in residential construction estimating.

• Experience in medium density is advantageous.

• Leadership or supervisory experience within an estimating environment is preferred

• Strong understanding of residential building methods and construction costs.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong organisational and time management abilities.

• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality outcomes.

• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development.
