About the Role

As a Registered Nurse Grade 5, you will play a pivotal leadership role within our residential aged care home, providing clinical leadership, mentoring and support to care teams while ensuring residents receive the highest standard of person-centred care. You will work collaboratively with staff, residents, families, medical practitioners and allied health professionals to achieve outstanding clinical and care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support nursing and care staff to deliver exceptional resident care.
• Provide clinical leadership and act as a mentor and role model for the care team.
• Coordinate and oversee assessments, care planning and clinical documentation.
• Partner with residents and families to support positive care experiences and outcomes.
• Monitor clinical standards, aged care compliance requirements and accreditation expectations.
• Manage resident care concerns, complaints and critical incidents professionally and effectively.
• Collaborate with GPs, allied health providers and specialists to support residents' health and wellbeing goals.
• Support a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and best-practice aged care outcomes.

About You

You are a dedicated Registered Nurse who is passionate about aged care and committed to delivering high-quality, resident-focused services.

To be successful, you will have:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated experience in residential aged care.
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning and documentation skills.
• Sound knowledge of AN-ACC, aged care standards, infection prevention and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide, mentor and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional resident outcomes.

Compliance Requirements

• Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards  
• Current AHPRA Registration
• Relevant Nursing qualifications
• Current vaccinations (COVID-19 and 2026 Influenza).
• NDIS Check and Working with Children Check.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
