Delaware North Australia is hiring culinary professionals to help deliver extraordinary dining experiences at Australia's most celebrated racing events, the 2026 Melbourne Cup Carnival and Cox Plate. From premium dining rooms and corporate hospitality suites to large-scale race day catering operations, you'll be part of the team responsible for delivering exceptional food experiences to thousands of guests throughout the Spring Racing Carnival.

This is an opportunity to showcase your skills in a vibrant, high-energy environment while contributing to one of Australia's most iconic sporting and hospitality events. What will you do?

Prepare and present high-quality food to Delaware North standardsSupport the delivery of premium hospitality and dining experiencesMaintain food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standardsAssist with kitchen preparation, service, and pack down activitiesWork collaboratively with culinary and hospitality teams to ensure seamless serviceContribute to efficient kitchen operations during major event days

More About You

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment relevant to the roleStrong culinary skills and attention to detailAbility to perform in a fast-paced team environmentUnderstanding of food safety and hygiene requirementsRelevant culinary qualifications for chef positionsPositive attitude and willingness to support a collaborative team environmentAvailability to work key Spring Racing Carnival event dates, including weekends and public holidays

Key event dates include Melbourne Cup Carnival race days and Cox Plate events from 24 October and 7 November 2026.
