We're looking for someone who can create engaging content that authentically reflects our community and values, showcases what makes The Ironfist Gym such a special place, and helps every member and visitor feel genuinely welcome.

You'll become an important part of our team—building relationships with our members, capturing the moments that showcase who we are, and helping us tell the Ironfist story both inside the gym and online.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position.

Applicants must be available during our busiest periods, including:

• Weekdays approximately 3:00pm–8:00pm
• Friday evenings 4:30pm–7:00pm (as rostered)
• Saturday mornings approximately 7:00am–11:00am

There may also be occasional additional hours for events, competitions and other gym activities.

What You'll Be Doing

Your role will combine content creation with member services, including:

• Capturing photos and videos of classes, members and gym events.
• Creating engaging Reels, Stories, Posts and Carousels.
• Coming up with creative content ideas that align with the Ironfist brand.
• Working with the owners to plan and develop content.
• Welcoming members, visitors and new enquiries.
• Helping trial members feel comfortable and at ease.
• Reception duties, member check-ins and general administration.
• Helping maintain the friendly and welcoming atmosphere our gym is known for.

• Creative, with a good eye for photography, videography and social media content.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Proactive, takes initiative and enjoys bringing new ideas to the table.
• Keen to keep learning and developing their creative skills.
• Professional and understands the importance of discretion and representing The Ironfist Gym in a positive and respectful way.
• Happy to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed. We're a small team and believe no job is beneath anyone. Whether it's creating content, helping a new member, tidying reception or lending a hand when things get busy, we all work together to get the job done.

Previous experience in Muay Thai, Boxing or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu isn't essential, but a genuine interest in martial arts is important. We want someone who wants to become part of our community—not simply work in it.

Skills & Experience

You don't need a marketing qualification. We're far more interested in your creativity, personality and ability to create authentic content than formal qualifications.

Experience with some of the following would be highly regarded:

• Canva.
• CapCut or similar editing software.
• Photography and videography.
• Writing engaging social media captions.
• WordPress (advantageous).
• Clubworx or GymSales (not required—training will be provided).

You'll also need a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check), or the ability to obtain one before starting, a current driver's licence and reliable transport, and the right to work in Australia.

Our social media is about showcasing our people, our culture and our community. We're not interested in tutorial videos or positioning ourselves as influencers or online experts. We'd much rather see ideas that authentically capture what makes The Ironfist Gym unique.

There are no right or wrong answers—we simply want an insight into your creativity, how well you understand our brand and the way you think.

Pay: From $31.00 per hour
