About the role
Eustralis Food WA, based in Bassendean, is seeking a Purchasing Assistant with an outstanding level of attention to detail to join our friendly Perth team.
This is a permanent, full-time position, starting 24th of August.
ABOUT US:

We strive to provide exceptional service to all our customers, and this mission starts in the Purchasing Department, by making sure that all our imports from Europe are arriving on time!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Process purchase order confirmations received from overseas suppliers (mainly France).
· Liaise closely with suppliers to promote best practices and ensure on-time delivery of products.
· Deal with suppliers’ stock disruptions and freight booking issues, coordinating solutions to minimise delays.
· Coordinate shipments and manage related documentation (including health certificates and customs paperwork) - while keeping ETDs/ETAs updated in the Company’s operating system.
· Process & book interstate orders dispatched from our distribution centre.
· Handle quality claims with suppliers from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution.
· Keep suppliers’ certifications and specification sheets accurate and up to date.
· Monitor and update freight/transport expenses.
· Carry out any other duties reasonably required from time to time.
ABOUT YOU:
· Previous purchasing and import experience preferred.
· Fluency in French is highly regarded.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Highly organised and proactive, with strong multitasking skills.
· Excellent time management with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
· Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
· Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills when working with suppliers.
· Positive and professional attitude.
· Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia (no student visa or working holiday visa / no sponsorship available for this position).
