Cook/Chef

Goji Restaurant Penrith is seeking experienced full-time Wok/ Fryer chefs to join our thriving Modern Asian Cuisine Restaurant. We are looking for a reliable and passionate candidate who can make a long term commitment and contribute to a busy kitchen team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, has excellent time management skills, and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities as a Wok/ Fryer Chef include;

• Prepare and cook menu items using wok burners and commercial deep fryers
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and product quality
• Organise and manage your section to ensure smooth service
• Ensure all dishes are prepared to recipe specifications and presentation standards
• Assist with food preparation and stock rotation
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your work station throughout each shift
• Follow food safety, hygeine and workplace health and safety procedures
• Be able to work in a team environment and assist the team wherever required
• Must be able to work weekends

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working in a high- volume commercial kitchen
• Experience using commercial wok burners and deep fryers (Essential)
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Ability to work quickly without compromising food
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Pay: Up to $1,600.00 per week
