Lifestyle Team Leader

The Role

As the Lifestyle Team Leader at Yaralla Place, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will lead a dedicated team in the development and delivery of personalised leisure and lifestyle programs that align with each resident’s care plan. Your leadership will ensure that our activities promote health, happiness, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage a monthly calendar of group activities tailored to residents’ needs and preferencesIdentify and nurture residents’ individual talents, hobbies, and lifestyle preferencesOversee the implementation of leisure and lifestyle activities, ensuring they meet the mental, physical, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs of residentsCollaborate with the care team to support residents’ care plans and report any changes in resident care to the registered nurse in chargeFoster an inclusive and flexible approach to service provision, ensuring resident safety and wishes are prioritisedSupport and mentor new Lifestyle Officers, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environmentEnsure all activities comply with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Lifestyle Officer in an aged care setting.Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar)Current NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain)Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCreative and flexible in designing and implementing activitiesCommitment to resident-centred care and enhancing quality of lifeAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Yaralla Place: Our Yaralla Place community is set in the heart of our well preserved colonial architectural town of Maryborough, just a short stepping stone from QLD’s pristine beaches and beautiful Hervey Bay. Our 96 bed home is divided into smaller households that mirror the look and rhythm of home with vast communal areas where our residents can enjoy their own homestyle lounge, dining and kitchen areas with a private backyard for their established gardens and veggie patches.
