THE ROLE

The Project Officer will join a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering the Government's agenda of increasing access to social and affordable housing for Victorians. This is a varied and practical role that supports the delivery of residential projects with stakeholders in a partnership approach. This will require a dynamic, flexible candidate with demonstrated experience in project management, residential construction and contract administration. The Project Officer will undertake a variety of taks to support the delivery of a high volume of residential construction projects across Victoria, ranging from single standalone dwellings to whole low-rise apartment buildings.This role involves conducting regular site inspections to assess site condition, work progression and compliance with contract obligations including adherence to plans and specifications. Periodic travel across Victoria is integral to the role and this may include overnight travel depending on the location and project requirements

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Support the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
• Develop, implement and maintain efficient project administration systems including document tracking and control and proactively creating and implementing new systems to streamline processes as required.
• Manage consultant engagements by instructing them to complete work, conduct meetings as required and review work submitted.
