About the role
As the Aboriginal Economic Development Manager, you will work closely with Aboriginal businesses, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs), communities, government agencies and industry partners to identify opportunities, build capability and deliver initiatives that support sustainable economic growth.
You will help bring Aboriginal economic aspirations to life by supporting initiatives that strengthen business growth, employment pathways and training opportunities.
This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference by contributing to the delivery of the NSW Closing the Gap Priority Reform 5 – Employment, Business Growth and Economic Prosperity.
About You
This is an identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. Aboriginal identified positions are developed where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role.
