This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a busy, high-volume environment and wants to develop their skills alongside an experienced and supportive kitchen team.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role
• A genuine passion for food and developing your culinary skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• High standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team
• A calm, professional and positive approach under pressure
• Willingness to learn, take direction and support your fellow chefs
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Must have own transport or reside in the area

What you'll be doing
As part of the Portsea Hotel kitchen team, you will:

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of your section
• Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard
• Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and hygiene standards
• Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
• Assist with preparation, service and kitchen organisation
• Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture
• Continue developing your culinary skills and knowledge
