Principal Lawyer, Investigations and Litigation - The ACT Law Society

The ACT Law Society is the peak professional body for solicitors in the ACT, representing the local legal profession while also performing a regulatory and public protection role within the close-knit Canberra market. 

Due to a promotion within the Investigations and Litigation team, the ACT Law Society is seeking to hire a talented Principal Lawyer with a minimum of 8 years PQE, with litigation experience.

You'll join a function has been largely external until relatively recently and runs as an in-house practice. We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills and strong litigation expertise ideally in the areas of criminal, commercial, employment, regulatory or administrative law; other areas in litigation will also be considered. This role will suit a strategic thinker capable of handling the full lifecycle of matters, strong with issue spotting, working autonomously with critical stakeholders, and supporting to lead and build the in-house function.
