About Your Role:

UGL Transport is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Area Business Manager to lead our Newcastle Locomotive Production business area.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager - NSW Projects, this senior leadership role is accountable for the overall profitability, operational performance and strategic direction of the locomotive manufacturing and overhaul portfolio. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop strategic customer relationships, drive operational excellence and ensure the successful delivery of complex manufacturing and maintenance programs.

As a key member of the Newcastle Operations Leadership Team, you will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient and profitable business outcomes while supporting future growth opportunities across the Transport business.

About You:

Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, maintenance, operations or project environments.
 

• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Ability to build high-performing, inclusive teams.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in rail, transport, defence, automotive or other safety-critical industries is highly regarded
