South East Queensland Hauliers (SEQH) is growing, and we're looking for a 3rd or 4th Year Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at our Wellcamp site.

This is a great opportunity for a current Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic Apprentice who has previous hands-on mechanical or heavy vehicle experience and wants to continue developing their skills in a busy heavy vehicle workshop.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Mechanic, you will work alongside our experienced team to maintain and repair our fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with servicing, repairs and maintenance of heavy vehicles

• Assisting with repairs to diesel engines, brakes, suspension and other components

• Tyre fitting and tyre maintenance

• Completing routine servicing and inspections

• Using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment

• Maintaining a clean and safe workshop

• Following all safety procedures and company requirements

ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you will:

• Currently be undertaking a 3rd or 4th Year Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship

• Have previous mechanical, heavy vehicle or workshop experience

• Have a genuine interest in developing your career as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

• Be reliable, hardworking and willing to learn

• Have good attention to detail

• Be comfortable performing tyre fitting and general workshop duties

• Be comfortable with early morning starts

• Be able to work well independently and as part of a team

• Hold a current driver's licence (MC licence advantageous)

• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and criminal history check

WHAT WE OFFER

• $26.44 – $27.08 per hour + super, (depending on your current apprenticeship year)

• Full-time employment

• Monday to Friday – early morning starts

• Based at our Wellcamp site
