About the role
ZebraVet is an Australian-owned veterinary wholesaler, proudly supplying veterinary products nationwide. We’re expanding into Townsville with a new warehouse for ZebraVet, and are offering a great opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to help set it up and run it day to day. Working alongside our Storeperson, you’ll thrive in this role if you’re flexible, resourceful, and happy to wear multiple hats – from setting up stock and workflows from scratch through to keeping the warehouse running smoothly once it’s up and going.
If successful, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Your role will be to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and service excellence, while working hands-on alongside your Storeperson to maintain a positive, can-do team culture. You’ll be supported with hands-on training both onsite in Townsville and at our Brisbane facility to set you up for success.
What you'll bring
Experience leading or supporting a warehouse team, with a genuine interest in helping your Storeperson grow and succeed.
A knack for spotting a better way of doing things, and the drive to see it through.
Time spent in wholesale, pick/pack, or busy warehouse environments – you know what good looks like.
Great communication skills – you’re happy to explain, train, and lead by example rather than just direct.
Comfortable with warehouse or inventory software (bonus points if you’ve used NetSuite before).
A hands-on approach – just as happy unpacking a pallet as you are planning ahead.
Flexibility and a can-do attitude – with just the two of you running the show, you’ll need to think on your feet and adapt as things come up.
Key responsibilities
Help us bring our new Townsville warehouse to life – from overseeing stock installation to setting up workflows that just make sense.
Lead and support your Storeperson day to day, helping them grow into the role and feel like a genuine part of the team.
Keep on top of everything coming in and going out, so our customers always get what they need, when they need it.
Keep an eye out for better ways of doing things, and don’t be afraid to change things up as the warehouse grows.
Make safety second nature – a tidy, well-run warehouse where OH&S is just part of how things are done.
Stay across stock control, pick/pack, and freight, so everything runs efficiently without cutting corners.
Bring ZebraVet’s values to life every day, creating a workplace that’s positive, respectful, and focused on our customers.
A police check may be required as part of our recruitment process.
Why ZebraVet?
At ZebraVet, we’ve created a culture we love to work in. We work hard, celebrate success, and support each other. We value respect, positivity, and inclusivity, and we are proud to be an Australian-owned business that rewards results. Our customers and our people are at the heart of what we do – and that’s what makes ZebraVet such a great place to work.
We can’t wait to hear from you!
