Service Stylist

The Langham, Melbourne is currently looking for a full-time Service Stylist to join our team.

This role is essential to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding guest expectations across the Rooms Division. The purpose of this role is to create a warm and welcoming environment for guests, providing exceptional assistance, information, and support throughout their stay.

The Service Stylist is responsible for maintaining a clear presence in the lobby, greeting and acknowledging guests, assisting with rooming procedures, and actively engaging with visitors. Additionally, this role involves overseeing the Langham Club Lounge reception, maintaining its exclusivity, and providing personalized services to club guests.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and personal appearance, in accordance with hotel standards.
• Possess a standard of guest service where each customer feels like a welcomed guest.
  
• Be aware of facilities and points of interest in hotel environs to assist with any guest inquiries.
• Familiarisation with the flow of guests throughout the hotel. Ensure strong presence in the Lobby at all times to assist our guests. Spend time in each of our Front of House areas: Driveway, Ground floor lobby, Reception lobby, Flavours of Langham and Langham Hotel Club.
• Greeting and acknowledging guests that arrive at the hotel, gather in the lobby or depart the hotel. Always approach guests and enquire about their stay and any future stays
  
• Make courtesy calls to ensure guests’ wellbeing, help and additional services or follow
• Work closely with the Concierge for a continual guest focus. Assist with recommendations of the local area.
  
• Display our guest rooms, outlets and banquet facilities to potential guests.  Assist with site inspections as required.
• Assist the Reception and Concierge with ‘queue’ management
• Monitor the return guest and loyalty programs, based on guest preferences and history. Ensure preferences are met. Update and build guest history on SEP.
• Assist with guest amenities to build great memories for our guests. Ex: Balloons , Hotel arranged amenity and special guest requested amenity delivery 
• To anticipate guest needs and handle guest enquiries in a helpful and attentive manner.
  

For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following:

• Being able to engage and build rapport with our guests to deliver personalised service and identify individual guest preferences
• Excellent presentation, communication and people skills combined with a polite, efficient and friendly disposition.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year previous experience within a 5 star Front Office environment.
  
• Excellent communication.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
