Fire Protection Technician (Portable Equipment)

Guardian Service & Maintenance is looking for an experienced Portable Fire Equipment Technician to join our growing service team.

This is a full-time field-based role carrying out routine inspection, testing and servicing of portable fire equipment across commercial, residential and industrial sites throughout Sydney and surrounding areas.

About the Role

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Inspection, testing and servicing of portable fire equipment

• Fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire hose reels

• Completing scheduled routine maintenance in accordance with relevant Australian Standards

• Identifying and reporting defects

• Completing service reports and documentation accurately

• Managing an allocated daily run of sites

• Liaising professionally with clients, building managers and site contacts

• Ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience servicing portable fire equipment

• Has a good understanding of AS 1851

• Can work independently and manage their own daily workload

• Is reliable, organised and punctual

• Takes pride in completing paperwork and service reports correctly

• Has strong communication and customer service skills

• Is comfortable using mobile apps (Uptick) and electronic service reporting

• Holds a current Australian driver's licence
