$64,546 per annum plus superannuation

About The Role

Our Cleansing Operations team pride ourselves on keeping the City’s roads, footpaths and laneways clean and tidy. As a Cleansing Crew Member, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills with full training across a wide range of cleansing specialised tasks and equipment, cleaning our footpaths, roadways, plazas, public precincts and servicing our street litter bins using a variety of methods including manual cleaning, pressure cleaning, refuse removal trucks and small mechanical sweeping vehicles ensuring our LGA and public spaces are looking their best each day.

We are seeking self-motivated, dedicated people who take pride in their work and able to complete physically demanding tasks.

To Work In The Team, You Must

Be physically fit and able.Demonstrated ability to conduct manual street cleaning tasks such as manual sweeping, bulk waste removal such as illegal dumping and servicing of street litter bins.Drive and operate or be willing to learn a variety of plant equipment including small mechanical sweepers and small waste collection vehicles.Hold current C class (C) drivers licence.Be available to work weekday shifts, some weekends, and public holidays.Have a proven clean driving record.Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed.Experience in waste removal preferred.The successful candidate should have a willingness to continuously build upon their skill set and potentially obtain their (MR/HR) truck licence to assist with career development and training opportunities.

This role has the option of a rostered day off every two weeks, known as a 9-day fortnight.
