About the role

This role is classified as a Level 2 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $70,286 to $91,813). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.
As a rostered shift worker, additional shift penalty payments may apply for work performed outside of ordinary hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per the SBS Enterprise Agreement (EA). SBS may also require you to work reasonable overtime, where overtime will be paid at applicable rates in accordance with the EA.
The Role
The Associate Producer works on developing stories for the Dateline series. They provide support to Producers and Reporters for individual episodes, as well as digital content. The successful applicant is expected to have excellent research, journalistic and story development skills. They must be able to identify and pitch ideas that brings international current affairs to an Australian audience.
Due to the nature of the work, this role may involve exposure to distressing or traumatic content. SBS provides support and wellbeing resources to employees working in these environments.
