Bar Manager

edition Hospitality is opening a new late night cocktail bar tucked behind Florentino on Mornane Lane. Built for big nights, great music and serious drinks. Fast paced, high-volume and full of energy, it’s the kind of place you hear about from someone who knows someone, and once you know you’re in!

With a lean towards Italian drinking culture, the bar will bring together a sharp drinks offering, warm hospitality, late-night energy and DJ led soundtrack. Think busy bars, full rooms, fast service and a team that knows how to have a good time while delivering exceptional hospitality.

The Opportunity

We’re excited to offer the opportunity to join our opening team as Bar Manager.

This role is suited to an experienced hospitality professional with a background in premium cocktail bars who thrives in fast-paced, guest-focused environments. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee day-to-day bar operations, lead and develop the team, drive service standards and play a key role in shaping the drinks offering and culture of the venue.

Our ideal candidate will have

• 3+ years experience as a Bar Supervisor, Assistant Bar Manager or Bar Manager in high-volume, premium cocktail bars.

• A strong understanding of cocktail creation and beverage service, with the ability to drive an evolving drinks program.

• The confidence to lead a small team during service, guiding both experienced and junior bartenders.

• The ability to work collaboratively within a larger management team.

• A solid knowledge of spirits, wines, and classic cocktails, Italian focus a bonus, and a passion for continued learning.

• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced setting.

• An eye for detail and a guest-first mindset, with a flair for adding personalised touches to the experience.

• A collaborative and positive attitude, with a desire to lead by example and inspire those around you.

• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to high standards of service.

• The ability to work independently, always showing professionalism, respect, and kindness.

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
