Position
Borger Cranes is looking for a Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team.
This role is focused on supporting the daily payroll process by ensuring employee time and job information is accurate and ready for processing.
You will work closely with employees, allocators and other departments to make sure timesheets are completed correctly and any questions are resolved promptly.
The role would suit someone who is organised, enjoys working with numbers and information, has good attention to detail and is confident using Excel.
Key responsibilities
Reviewing and monitoring daily employee timesheets
Supporting employees with timesheet and general payroll queries
Liaising with allocators and other departments to confirm job and time information
Following up outstanding or incomplete timesheet information
Working closely with the Payroll team to support the daily timesheet process
Preparing and reviewing daily payroll reports
Actioning EBA-related payroll requirements
Maintaining accurate payroll information and records
Assisting with general payroll administration as required
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong attention to detail
Is comfortable working with numbers and large amounts of information
Has good Excel skills
Is organised and able to manage daily deadlines
Has good communication skills and enjoys working with people
Is confident asking questions and following up information when required
Can work independently as well as part of a team
Previous experience in payroll, administration, timesheet processing or a similar role would be an advantage.
Knowledge or experience with EBAs and Awards would also be beneficial but is not essential.
The initial focus of the role will be supporting the daily timesheet and payroll process. As you become familiar with the role and the business, there may be opportunities to gain experience across other areas of payroll and take on additional responsibilities, depending on your skills, experience and the needs of the team.
This is a practical, hands-on payroll support role and full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
