Medical Receptionist

Our medical practice is looking for a new part-time medical receptionist who is a happy and caring person to join our expanding reception team, with the ability to also cover holidays and sick days.

This part-time position requires 12-15 hours per week and, also staff holiday cover.

We pride ourselves on our friendly and professional care of patients and being a people person is the number one criteria for this position.

Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone.

• Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records.

• Processing payments, Medicare, and third-party claims

• Effective management of patient appointments

• General administration and office duties

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of medical reception experience is required.

• Experience with Medical Director software is an advantage

• Professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner

• High work ethic

• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise

• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

• High level of attention to detail

• Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information

• Australian work rights are required.
