The Role

Reporting to the Group General Manager, People, Culture and Corporate Services, you’ll be a valued member of our People and Culture team, supporting employees, managers and stakeholders with practical, accurate and professional HR advice while delivering an excellent employee experience.

You’ll work across recruitment and selection, employee relations, learning and development, work health and safety, and HR policy, pay and leave enquiries. You’ll also contribute to key People and Culture initiatives, including diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing and employee experience.

What you'll be doing

• Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction activities

• Support managers with performance, probation and employee relations matters

• Identify workforce capability needs and develop and deliver targeted learning and development initiatives

• Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives

• Manage employee grievances and workplace matters with professionalism and sound judgement

• Review and improve HR policies, processes and systems

• Support WHS, return-to-work and legislative compliance activities

• Contribute to People & Culture projects that enhance the employee experience and workplace culture

What you’ll bring

• Minimum four years’ experience in a generalist HR role, including recruitment and employee relations

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline

• Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation

• An interest in working across a broad range of People & Culture activities

• A proactive, solutions-focused and accountable approach

• Professionalism, diplomacy and respect for confidentiality

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities

• The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team

• An authentic, inclusive and open-minded approach

• Strong digital capability, including Microsoft 365 and HR information systems
