Senior Civil Designer

We're seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Brisbane team to support multiple major clients in the resources (mining and minerals) and energy sectors.

Your skills will include strong technical design experience, as well as the ablity to work as part of a team across high complexity multi discipline projects, delivered across global offices.

This is a Brisbane based role offering hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the lead designer, you will deliver discipline specific civil design services that satisfy Worley, its clients and meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements on time and within budget as part of the delivery team.
• Production of high-quality technical deliverables (including access roads, construction pads, stormwater drainage, bulk and detailed earthworks, and pipelines, as well as general mining support and infrastructure development)
• Process geospatial and survey data, incorporating LiDAR, topographic surveys, and GIS data sets into models.
• 3D model development including model sharing with other disciplines
• Producing 2D drawings as required throughout the various project phases
• Quantity takeoff outputs and calculations for Bill of Quantities
• Perform review/detailed checking on work completed by both local and workshare offices as required by the project
• Support the coordination of workshare between various Worley offices, offering support and guidance to those less experienced
• Cross disciplinary coordination to ensure successful delivery of Customer’s requirements
• Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customer's requirements.
• Support effective communication with the civil engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customer.

About You

• Technical diploma in civil design or equivalent training and experience
• 8+ years’ civil design experience across mining and energy projects
• Experience delivering medium to large multidisciplinary projects
• Knowledge of relevant local and international standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience working in 3D modelling environments
• Advanced proficiency in 12d Model and AutoCAD
• Civil 3D and MicroStation experience is advantageous
• Experience working with diverse teams
