About the role
Starlux Airlines Co., Ltd is a Taiwanese full-service carrier headquartered in Taipei established in 2018. Starlux Airlines Co., Ltd has established a branch office in Australia (STARLUX) to support its planned passenger and cargo operations in the Australian market, including sales and marketing, customer service, cargo activities and airport-related operations.
STARLUX is looking for a Cargo Manager for the branch office. The position is full-time and based at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport, Mascot, Sydney.
The tasks and responsibilities of this role include the following:
Plan, organise, manage and oversee the STARLUX branch office's cargo inventory, warehouse, and ground handling operations Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport;
Handle STARLUX’s cargo sales duties and develop a local cargo network;
Manage cargo reservations and operations;
Direct the activities of cargo operations and cargo sales staff;
Supervise and ensure cargo personnel follows standard operation procedures, workflows and complies with local laws and regulations in terms of cargo imports and exports, loading and unloading;
Recruit, train, supervise, and manage performance of cargo operations and cargo sales staff;
Establish, build, and maintain positive relations with local agents and freight forwarders;
Serve as the liaison between the STARLUX branch office in Australia and the head office in Taiwan's Cargo Division;
Be responsible for cargo related manpower estimation and budget planning for the branch office;
Meet cargo sales targets;
Based on cargo operation irregularity statistics, achieve operations KPIs;
Skills & Experience required for the position
Bachelor's degree in management, business, or similar;
At least 5 years' experience in airline cargo operations positions;
Experience using airline iCargo system;
Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and IATA CASS system;
Be proficient with MS Office tools;
Have excellent multitasking, communication and leadership skills;
Can work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends and days off.
Be flexible to work additional hours on short notice when required.
