Showroom Consultant

As a Showroom Consultant, you’ll be one of the friendly faces welcoming builders, renovators, trade customers, and retail clients into our Mackay showroom.

Working closely with the Showroom Manager, you’ll guide customers through bathroom, kitchen and laundry product selections, prepare quotes and process orders. You’ll also follow up enquiries and help ensure customers remain informed as their orders progress.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is personable, proactive, and eager to learn. Previous plumbing or showroom experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. This is a genuine sales role, so we’re looking for someone who can confidently engage customers, understand their needs, and turn enquiries into sales. The right attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
  
This is a Full-time role based in Mackay, QLD.
  
A typical day will see you:

• Welcome retail and trade customers into the showroom and understand what they need for their project.

• Provide tailored product and design advice across bathroom, kitchen, and laundry solutions.

• Help customers coordinate colours, products and finishes that work well together.

• Prepare quotes, process orders, and manage project follow-ups through to completion.

• Maintain regular contact with customers through phone calls and emails.

• Proactively follow up on enquiries and sales opportunities rather than waiting for customers to return.

• Check product availability and work closely with suppliers to coordinate stock.

• Keep customers informed of order progress, delivery timeframes, and any potential delays.

• Build strong relationships with builders, suppliers, and retail customers.

• Maintain a clean and well-presented showroom, including displays, product information, and pricing.

• Learn and maintain product knowledge across plumbing and bathroom solutions.

• Contribute to showroom and branch sales targets.

• What you’ll need to succeed: 
  We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes pride in staying organised and is comfortable following up to keep projects and sales moving.
  
  This includes:

• Experience in customer service, retail, sales, or a showroom environment.

• A friendly and confident communication style.

• A proactive approach to following up customers and sales opportunities.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• The ability to manage quotes, orders, emails, and phone calls accurately.

• Reliability and the ability to work independently when required.

• A positive attitude and willingness to support a small branch team.

• An interest in interiors, renovations, colours, or design.

• Plumbing, bathroom, tiles, trade, or building supplies experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.

• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency. Sponsorship is not offered for this position.

• The systems and product knowledge can be taught. What matters most is that you’re willing to learn, follow through on your commitments and take a proactive approach to helping customers.
