About The Role

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Line 1 Risk & Compliance to lead the Customer Operations, Sustainability and Enablement (COSE) Risk & Compliance team.

Reporting to the General Manager Line 1 Risk & Compliance, you'll play a critical role in embedding Sportsbet's Line 1 Risk & Compliance operating model across your portfolio. Working closely with senior business leaders, you'll support effective risk ownership, strengthen control environments, drive regulatory compliance, and help teams identify, manage and mitigate risk in a practical and sustainable way.

As a key member of the broader Line 1 Risk leadership community, you'll contribute to organisation-wide consistency, capability uplift, and continuous improvement, enabling confident decision-making and helping Sportsbet deliver exceptional outcomes in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities Include:

Partner with senior business leaders across the COSE portfolio to embed effective risk and compliance practices within day-to-day operations.
Drive the consistent application of Sportsbet's Risk & Compliance Frameworks, Policies, Standards, and ways of working.
Support the identification, assessment, management, monitoring, and escalation of risks, ensuring controls remain effective and fit for purpose.
Lead and coordinate incident management, issue remediation, audit engagement, and assurance activities to achieve sustainable outcomes.
Contribute to enterprise-wide risk maturity through collaboration, knowledge sharing, capability building, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You're an influential risk leader who thrives on partnering with stakeholders to achieve practical, business-focused outcomes. You bring a strong understanding of risk and compliance management, coupled with the ability to build trusted relationships and challenge constructively when required. Comfortable operating at a senior leadership level, you're equally passionate about developing risk capability, strengthening governance, and fostering a positive risk culture. You enjoy working in dynamic environments and can confidently navigate complexity while maintaining a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.

Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, governance practices, regulatory obligations, and control environments.

Experience managing audits, incidents, issues, remediation programs, and assurance activities.
Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
