The role
We are seeking an experienced Machinist / Welder / Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Booyong, NSW. This full-time role will involve a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our food production facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Perform machining, welding and maintenance work on a range of food processing equipment

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components

• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime

• Fabricate and modify parts and equipment as required

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities

• Comply with all health, safety and quality control protocols

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualifications, such as Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade

• Demonstrated experience as a Machinist, Welder or Maintenance Fitter in a food production or manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment

• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding

• Ability to undertake rotating shift rosters including weekends.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
