About PIYC
Partner In Your Care (PIYC) Service is a community-based disability service provider registered under National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Partner In Your Care provides range of services to people with psychosocial disability from daily activities and community participation. A range of services that enable our clients to feel more inclusive, self-dependent and participate within society.
About the role:
We are seeking Team Leaders and Support Workers to work in our Group Homes and Community Participants throughout the Sydney Region.
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, have a strong understanding of mental health challenges and effective strategies to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
You will be responsible for:
Understanding of the Person-centered Framework and Trauma Informed approaches.
Demonstrate good listening skills, build rapport and trust between participants to achieve their goals.
Ensuring all medication administration is undertaken according to PIYC Policies & procedures.
Transporting participants to appointments, work & daily activities to promote a healthier lifestyle
Support participants with personal hygiene, self-care, manual handling, general duties including domestic help.
Completing shift progress notes, incident reports (when required)
About you:
To be successful, you must have:
Qualification in Disability
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check
NDIS Module Certificates
Must have a valid CPR & First Aid Certificate
Must have a valid Australian driver's license.
A vehicle with fully comprehensive car insurance.
Must have regular availability.
Regular availability must include a minimum of 4-5 shifts per week.
Must be strong, resilient, and adaptable in challenging scenarios.
Communicate in an additional language including AUSLAN (Preferred)
The right to work in Australia.
2 recent Workplace Referees.
Salary & Benefits
SCHADS award plus super.
Weekend penalty rates on top of the base rate.
