About the Role
Glen Eira City Council is seeking to appoint an experienced and appropriately qualified professional as an independent member to its Audit & Risk Committee.
The Audit & Risk Committee is an independent advisory committee of Council which plays a key role in assisting Council to fulfill its responsibilities in relation to financial and performance reporting, risk management, fraud prevention systems and control, Council’s performance with regard to compliance with its policies and legislative and regulatory requirements, maintenance of a sound internal control environment, and assurance activities including internal and external audit. It acts in this capacity by monitoring, reviewing, endorsing and advising on the above matters as set out in its Charter.
