Fantastic Garage Doors is seeking a skilled and dedicated Gate Technician to join our team.

This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with high-quality garage door and gate systems. As a Gate Technician, you will be at the forefront of our service delivery, ensuring that our customers receive expert installation, maintenance, and repair services. This role is crucial to maintaining Fantastic Garage Doors' reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction in the Technician sector.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair gate systems for residential and commercial clients

• Diagnose technical faults and issues with gate mechanisms, openers and electronic components

• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on installed systems to ensure optimal performance

• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and resolve issues in a timely manner

• Provide clear explanations of work performed and maintenance recommendations to customers and office

• Follow all safety protocols and industry standards when working with mechanical and electrical systems

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed

• Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent service quality and customer satisfaction

• Keep up to date with the lates gate technology and repair techniques

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Gate Technician or Garage Door Technician, or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical systems installation and repair

• Strong technical knowledge of gate mechanisms, including openers and electronic controls

• Proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipment used in garage door and gate servicing

• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual work, including lifting and working at heights where required

• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship

• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work, mechanical maintenance or gate systems are highly desirable
