Civil Works Plant Operator (Re-advertised)
The Opportunity
The Shire of Bruce Rock is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably skilled individual to join our team as a Civil Works Plant Operator.
This role plays an important part in maintaining and improving the Shire's road network and civil infrastructure, helping to ensure safe, reliable and well-maintained assets for our community.
You will work as part of the Civil Works Crew, operating a range of heavy plant and equipment to undertake road construction, maintenance and associated civil works across the Shire.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a range of heavy plant and equipment, including the Shire's Multipatcher, trucks, loaders, rollers, excavators and other civil construction machinery.
Undertake road construction, gravel re-sheeting, pavement rehabilitation, drainage works and roadside maintenance.
Install and work in accordance with approved Traffic Management Plans.
Maintain accurate plant logbooks, work records and timesheets.
Promote a strong safety culture by following Work Health and Safety requirements and assisting with risk management activities.
Work collaboratively with the Civil Works Crew and provide support to other Technical Services teams when required.
Employment conditions
Permanent appointment upon successful completion of a three-month probation period.
Conditions in accordance with the Municipal Employees (Western Australia) Award, between Level 3 to Level 4 (depending on experience).
Generous superannuation options (12% on commencement, plus employee contributions matched by the Shire up to 5%).
One (1) Rostered Day Off per fortnight.
