Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate full-time Chef/Cook with expertise in Indian cuisine to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding our high standards of food quality,
preparation, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to portion control, presentation, and standards for all dishes.
Collaborate with management and staff to ensure proper dish preparation and resolve any kitchen issues.
Oversee food hygiene practices, rotation, and compliance with health and safety protocols.
Plan menus and demonstrate expertise in menu planning and execution.
Possess in depth knowledge of Tandoor cooking techniques, including the preparation of naan breads and
Indian curries.
Minimize food waste and effectively manage labor costs.
Work with management to establish production targets for daily and weekly operations.
Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory management to control food costs.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, high quality, and sourced correctly.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to maintain a well-functioning team.
Prepare curries, sauces, and desserts as required.
Maintain strong organizational skills in a busy kitchen environment.
Consistently deliver food of the highest quality that meets our brand standards.
About You:
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Certificate III/ IV/ Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent certification.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes with precision.
Excellent time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to dynamic kitchen demands and schedules.
