Product Development Engineer

This is an opportunity to lead the design of new products and take them from initial conception to fully manufactured object, providing engineering input to all aspects of design and manufacture. Take products from initial concept, all the way through to the manufactured object.

You will have control over all aspects of the process, including design, validation, sourcing of components, assisting the OEM process, and assessing the quality of the product.

Required

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, or related qualification
• 5 years experience in a new product introduction role
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Experience with requirements analysis and pre-compliance testing
• Able to work in a dynamic environment and get the best performance from team members

Highly desirable:

• Experience in DFM and DFA
• Experience in supplier negotiation and quality management
• Experience working with international teams and supply chains
• Project management skills using agile processes

Work on developing new products for a prominent Australian company, developing products for consumer and office use.
