Support at Home-Direct Care Worker

Akooramak Care of the Older Persons is looking for Support at Home Workers to join our dedicated team.

About us:

Akooramak home care is locally owned and operated by the Warwick Benevolent Society, specializing in Home Care Packages soon to be Support at Home.

We have been caring for our community for almost 150 years, and pride ourselves on high-quality care and support of our clients.

About you:

You will be compassionate, social, energetic, and have good communication skills.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting with light domestic duties and household chores, including washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting

• Assisting with Personal Care

• Assisting with delivering freshly made meals, or meal preparation

• Assisting with social support and encouraging engagement in social activities

You need:

• Driver's license

• Current First Aid including CPR qualification (or be willingness to get).

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent

• Current Police Check

• Experience in the use of technology such as smart phones and computer programs.
