Operator - Entry Level

• Live and work within WA's bustling Peel Region

• Residential role (no FIFO) - Keysbrook Minesite (Approx 30km from Mandurah)

• 4 days on 4 days off

Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (DMS), mines and processes heavy mineral sands near Mandurah, Bunbury and Busselton in the Southwest of WA. In addition to these sites, and as part of the company's growth strategy, we have recently acquired a mineral sands operation within the Gascoyne region of WA.

Doral is a medium sized business with a strong focus on our core values of safety, integrity, sustainability and collaboration.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent and based primarily at our Keysbrook mine site, the ideal candidate for this role will have some industrial, machine operating or mining experience. 

The position will be responsible for the successful completion of the following duties and roles:

• Operate and control fixed plant using a control system (SCADA-Citect) - desirable

• Operate plant and equipment in a manner to minimise down time and parts consumption.

• Continually monitor the plant for abnormal signs of operation and take appropriate action to rectify the problem or notify the appropriate personnel.

• Carry out fault finding of the plant and report your findings to your senior operator or production manager. Fix the faults within the limit of your ability and training.

• Carry out housekeeping of the plant to ensure a neat and tidy environment is maintained.

• Carry out mechanical repairs to the plant within the limit of your ability and training.

• Operate mobile equipment according to standard procedures and as directed.

Key factors to your success include;

• Experience in fixed plant operations - desirable but not essential

• Mechanical Aptitude

• Computer Literacy

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Self motivated with excellent problem solving skills

• Mobile plant experience (Front end loader) - desirable
