About the role

JT's Paint Solutions is seeking a skilled and professional Painter & Decorator to join our team on a casual basis. Based all around Perth Metro this role offers flexibility and variety as you work on diverse painting and decorating projects across residential repaints and insurance projects.. As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes whilst maintaining our reputation for excellence and attention to detail. This position is perfect for experienced painters looking for flexible work opportunities without long-term commitment.

This role will be a great fit for someone comfortable working independently on small projects, but can still work as a team on larger jobs all across Perth CBD, from Mandurah to Yanchep. Large project currently upcoming is based in Byford.

Looking for a casual to assist with this upcoming project. Full time, work car, fuel card opportunities for the right applicants can be discussed after 6 months probation.

What you'll be doing

• With the insurance industry being our bread and butter, you'll be introduced to all aspects of painting on small projects and 'tying in' old vs. New to bring the home back to they way it was pre-damage. This includes learning colour matching and gaining knowledge from a vast array of products.

• Applying paint, varnish and other protective coatings using appropriate techniques and equipment for different surface types

• Mixing paints and matching colours accurately to client specifications and requirements

• Hanging wallpaper and applying other decorative finishes with precision and care

• Using and maintaining painting equipment including brushes, rollers, sprayers and protective gear

• Protecting floors, fixtures and furniture from paint splashes and damage during project work

• Following health and safety regulations and best practice standards on all job sites

• Communicating with clients and supervisors about project progress, timelines and any issues that arise

• Cleaning and tidying work areas at the end of each project to leave properties in excellent condition

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator with a portfolio or references demonstrating quality workmanship

• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation methods and decorative finishes

• The ability to work independently with good time management skills, sometimes on more than one small project per day.

• Good customer service skills

• Someone ready to start, with a vehicle and all the hand tools required to complete your work (Materials and consumables covered by the company)

• Physical fitness and stamina to work at heights and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day

• Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous approach to working with clients

• Reliability and punctuality with the ability to manage time effectively on multiple projects

• Current first aid certification is preferred

• White Card or equivalent construction safety induction card
