2027 Graduate Program | Engineering and Planning

We're looking for our next cohort of graduates to join City of Moreton Bay and help shape one of Australia's fastest-growing cities.

If you're completing your degree by the end of 2026, or have recently graduated, this is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work on meaningful projects, and build your career through a structured development program designed to support your transition from university into the workforce.

• Multiple full time opportunities available commencing February 2027
• Structured 2-year graduate program
• Rotations every 6 months across a variety of teams
• Starting salary of $87,301pa + super
• Monday to Friday | 9-day fortnight
• Hybrid and flexible work arrangements, including some work from home opportunities
• Our graduate opportunities are located across several Council sites, including Strathpine, Caboolture and Narangba

With rotations every six months, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of projects, teams and disciplines across Council. It's the perfect opportunity to build your technical capability, discover where your interests lie, and develop a well-rounded understanding of local government.

We know flexibility matters. That's why we offer a Monday to Friday work week, a 9-day fortnight, and hybrid working arrangements to help you balance your career and personal commitments.

• Drainage, Waterways and Coastal Planning
• Parks and Recreation
• Building and Facilities
• Strategic Infrastructure Planning
• Waste Services
• Operations
• Asset Management
• Enterprise Project Management Office

Through these rotations you'll contribute to projects involving transport networks, community facilities, parks and open spaces, environmental initiatives, strategic planning, infrastructure delivery, asset management and much more.

We're looking for enthusiastic graduates who are ready to learn, contribute and grow.

To be considered, you will:

• Have recently completed, or be on track to complete by the end of 2026, a relevant qualification in Engineering or Planning.
• Be motivated to develop your professional skills and gain practical experience.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Enjoy collaborating with others and contributing as part of a team.
• Align with Council's values and commitment to serving our community.

• Engineering: Civil, Environmental, Structural, Coastal, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Project Management, Drainage and Water Engineering
• Planning: Town Planning, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Urban Development, Transport Planning, Architecture.
