Spotter

About the role

As an EWP (over 11m) Spotter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of construction machinery and equipment on job sites. This is a casual position up to 6 months, based in Orchard Hills, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Closely monitor the movement and activity of construction machinery and equipment to identify potential hazards or unsafe conditions

• Provide clear and timely communication to equipment operators to guide their actions and prevent accidents

• Maintain constant awareness of the work environment and the locations of workers, vehicles, and other obstacles

• Collaborate with the construction team to implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures

• Assist with the set-up and tear-down of work sites as needed

• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the site supervisor immediately

About you

• Previous experience as a Spotter or similar role in the construction industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise instructions

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly identify and respond to potential safety hazards

• Good physical fitness and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions

• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to and from the job site

• Mandatory EWP (over 11m) Spotter certification

• Completed working from heights certificate

• Clear criminal history check
