Chef De Partie

38 hours per week - rotating roster to allow for occasional weekend time off.

Salary - 75k per annum

We’re a family-run business with tonnes of hospo experience. We’re building a warm, energetic venue with good food, good music and a genuinely good team culture. The team is small with just a Head Chef and two supporting chefs. Services will be busy, but you’ll be joining from the beginning, so we’re looking for someone flexible who’s excited to help create systems and shape the kitchen as we grow.

The successful candidate will be:

- detail orientated and tidy

- calm under pressure

- able to take direction from the Head Chef and our Exec Chef, who oversees the creative side of the menu

- team focused with a positive attitude

We want this to be a supportive place to work — old school chef ego won’t fly here.

You will be responsible for:

- day-to-day management of the kitchen

- supervising junior kitchen staff - one full time commis chef and casual chefs as required.

- food preparation and service;

- maintaining food quality and presentation standards;

- ordering and stock management;

- compliance with food safety and health and safety requirements;

- assisting with menu execution and development;
