Role Description The Director Financial Wellbeing and Regions is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Alice Springs, NT. This position oversees financial wellbeing programs and regional service delivery, ensuring high-quality, client-centered support across multiple communities. The role involves leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and funding contracts, monitoring program performance, and driving continuous improvement in service models. The Director builds strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community partners, and local service providers, to strengthen collaboration and advocacy efforts. Day-to-day responsibilities include strategic planning, staff supervision, risk management, reporting, and ensuring that services align with Anglicare NT’s values and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including experience supervising teams and fostering a collaborative, inclusive workplace.Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting, contract management, and oversight of program funding and reporting.Experience in community services, social work, or related human services fields, ideally within regional or remote contexts.Proven ability in strategic planning, service development, and continuous improvement of programs and processes.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across sectors.Sound understanding of social justice, person-centered practice, and the needs of diverse communities, including First Nations peoples.Relevant tertiary qualification in management, social sciences, community services, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.Ability to work on-site in Alice Springs, travel to regional locations as required, and meet any applicable compliance requirements (e.g. clearances, licenses).
