About the role
Overview:
The Public Health Officer/Nurse contributes to the achievement of organisational objectives and outcomes designed to control the occurrence of communicable disease in South Australia. The Public Health Officer/Nurse is responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation and reporting of communicable disease surveillance data. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Public Health Officer/Nurse is required to participate in investigations of communicable disease outbreaks and subsequent control activities. The Public Health Officer/Nurse will be required to provide health information and advice to members of the public, health professionals, government agencies and special interest groups on communicable diseases, immunisation, and the principles of food hygiene and infection control.
