Teacher (Middle / Upper Primary)

Position Details:

Queen of Apostles Primary School is a vibrant, single-stream Catholic primary school catering for boys and girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six. Situated in Riverton, the school is known for its welcoming community, strong Catholic identity and close partnership with the Parish and families.

Queen of Apostles Catholic Primary School is seeking Expressions of Interest from enthusiastic, dedicated and collaborative teachers interested in joining our Middle/Upper Primary team for the 2027 school year on a temporary 12-month contract.

The position may be offered as either 0.4 FTE (2 days per week) or 0.6 FTE (3 days per week), depending on the availability and suitability of the successful applicant. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred FTE and availability within their application.

•  Demonstrate the ability to develop positive and respectful relationships with students, staff and families, creating a safe and supportive learning environment. 
•  Demonstrate strong knowledge and application of evidence-informed teaching practices, including explicit instruction, differentiation and effective classroom management. 
•  Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and student data to identify learning needs, inform teaching, monitor progress and improve student outcomes. 
•  Demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum that enable all students to experience success. 
•  Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative approach to working within a professional learning community, and a commitment to reflection and ongoing professional growth.  

Qualifications Required:

•    Relevant four-year tertiary qualification. 
•    Have or be willing to obtain Accreditation to Teach Religious Education. 
•    Current TRBWA registration. 
•    Current Working with Children Check.
