Smash Repair Shop Manager/Estimator

About the role

As the Shop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our smash repair facility, ensuring high-quality workmanship, efficient workflow, can estimate damaged vehicles and outstanding customer service. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate repairs, and maintain strong relationships with customers, insurers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop operations and workflow

• Supervise and support technicians and administrative staff

• Ensure repairs are completed on time and to a high standard

• Liaise with customers, insurance companies, and assessors

• Monitor job progress, costs, and profitability

• Maintain workplace health and safety standards

• Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally

About you

• Proven experience in smash repairs (management preferred)

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities

• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple jobs efficiently

• Knowledge of estimating systems and insurance processes (highly regarded)

• Results-driven with attention to detail
